The “one day in and out” companies usually sell speed as the main benefit. That can sound convenient, but garage floors live in the real world: hot tires, humidity, oil, tools, traffic, and concrete that is rarely perfect.
615 Epoxy & Seal uses a two-day process so the floor can be properly profiled, repaired, sealed with a moisture vapor barrier when needed, broadcast with flake, and finished with a durable topcoat. That extra time gives the system a stronger foundation and helps prevent the peeling, bubbling, and bond failures that rushed installs can leave behind.

Why is a two-day garage floor coating more durable than a one-day install?
A two-day system gives the coating layers time to build correctly. Instead of rushing prep, basecoat, broadcast, and topcoat into one visit, we can focus on the foundation first: grinding the concrete, repairing problem areas, controlling moisture when needed, and letting the system set before the final protective coat goes down.
What is a moisture vapor barrier, and why does it matter?
Concrete can release moisture vapor from below the surface. If that pressure gets trapped under a coating, it can contribute to bubbles, peeling, or bond failure. A moisture vapor barrier helps manage that issue before the decorative and protective layers are installed.
Is polyurea bad?
No. Polyurea can be a good product, especially as part of the right coating system. The problem is when companies present it as the whole solution. The best floor is not just the fastest-curing products. It is the full system from concrete prep to moisture control to final finish.
How do metallic epoxy floors hold up over time?

In many cases, yes. Cracks, chips, spalling, old coatings, and weak spots are handled during prep. The goal is to build the coating over a clean, profiled, stable surface instead of covering up problems and hoping they disappear.

What finish is best for a garage?
Most garages are a great fit for flake epoxy because it hides dirt well, adds texture, looks clean, and holds up to daily use. Metallic epoxy is more decorative and usually better for showrooms, offices, retail spaces, and statement floors.
